Mizuno MX-700 Fairway Wood – Mizuno say that Tour players have been asking for better performance from their fairway woods as well as their drivers and the MX-700 Fairway wood is their response.

Like the driver the MX-700 Fairway uses Hot Metal technology in its steel clubface to increase ball speed and as with the driver this means the fairway wood is extremely forgiving and delivers consistent results on even off centre hits.

This forgiveness and consistency has seen Mizuno pitch the MX-700 Fairway as a direct replacement for those players who are unsure of taking their driver off the tee.

The MX-700 is a great improvement on previous Mizuno fairway woods which have lacked the feel to compliment their looks and performance.

Both the feel and sound are excellent and most players will enjoy the classic zing sound at impact. The performance was also excellent with the club scoring highly for both forgiveness and accuracy although it may lack the workability that the better player demands.

The design is also impressive and the understated looks mask the increased size of the clubface at address.

The MX-700 fairway is available as a 3, 5 and 7 wood and is certainly a great choice for the mid to high handicapper especially those of you wanting a fairway wood that will be reliable from the tee.
