Nike SasQuatch Sumo Driver Review

Nike SasQuatch Sumo Driver Review

Nike SasQuatch Sumo Driver – Even though the Nike SasQuatch Sumo driver is not ‘square’ it still boasts a very high MOI which means it is very resistant to twisting at impact.

The Nike people were saying this has a higher MOI than Callaway’s square driver. In our test the Sumo was a joy to hit and performed amazingly well with drives launching on a penetrating trajectory. Off-centre hits stayed a little straighter the usual, but it was still easy to move the ball left and right if you wanted too.

We really liked the shallow head design and the clever use of the grey power bar graphic at the back of the club did not make the club seem to big, but may not be to everyone’s taste.

Compared to the Sumo2 square driver, the Nike SasQuatch Sumo version had a much better feel at impact.

This is probably due to the fact the head is titanium as opposed to composite. The Sumo is a big improvement on the Ignite in every area and of the two Sumo drivers, this is the one to go for in our books.
