Nike VR STR8-FIT Tour Fairway Wood – The Nike VR STR8-FIT Tour fairway wood has plenty to live up to following some excellent recent Nike fairway woods.

The head of the VR STR8-FIT Tour is a little larger top to bottom and wider than previous models and we feel that is is a big improvement.

At address the traditional looking head looks great and inspires lots of confidence. The performance of the club was also pretty good and the STR8-Fit system allows you to adjust the angle of the head at impact.

The wrench is not the easiest thing in the world to use, but the beep when you tighten it up is fun. There are a lot of options and it is not particularly intuitive but once you understand what change will achieve the flight you want the club does deliver.

We think this is a good feature in a fairway wood as depending on the course type, length and conditions you may want to change the flight more with a fairway than a driver.

The sound and feel at impact is not bad, although it is not as lively as some others on the market, but it is easy to shape the ball either way and if you want an adjustable fairway then in terms of value for money, this is a good alternative.
