Nike VR_S Fairway Wood – The Nike VR S fairway wood has a slightly more compact head than the previous Machspeed Black fairway. It appears quite rounded, especially on the toe whilst at the same time including elements of the square design that increase MOI and forgiveness.
This is not technically a bad thing but it does feel a little on the small side for us.However when you hit the VRS fairway, it does give the feel of a larger head as it is easy to get up in the air, even on mishits. The L-Face construction increases the sweet spot area as the weld line is on the sole of the club and you can feel the benefit of this.

The sound at impact was also very good and the Fubuki shaft was good quality, if not to everyone’s taste. Nike have being making good fairway woods for a long time now and providing you can get past the looks, then the VR_S fairway is one of the best value fairway woods in the market.
