TaylorMade Burner SuperFast Fairway Wood – The TaylorMade Burner Superfast fairway wood follows the same design keys as the Superfast driver with a deeper head front to back and a longer shaft for more distance.

The head was not as triangular as the driver and the Superfast fairway actually has a pretty traditional look, which we liked, although the red line colour scheme on the crown divided opinion.

At address the clubhead sat nicely behind the ball on both the fairway and in the semi rough although we think that extra depth of the head may give some players issues on very tight lies. The face was pretty forgiving and the feel and sound at impact was excellent.

The Superfast range is about distance over accuracy and to that end TaylorMade have used a longer lighter shaft in the fairways for more clubhead speed.

In the 3-wood this was quite noticeable, but it was not so bad in the shorter woods in the range so try before you buy as some may struggle with this.

Despite the weight being low and deep the trajectory of this club was very good and the TaylorMade Burner Superfast is a good fairway for mid to high handicappers looking for an extra few yards.
