Vegas makes Woods the Valspar favorite

PALM HARBOR, Fla. – While there’s still one name ahead of his on the leaderboard heading into the weekend, Las Vegas oddsmakers have made Tiger Woods the new betting favorite to win the Valspar Championship.

Woods briefly held sole possession of the lead during the second round at Innisbrook, and after a 3-under 68 he heads into the weekend in a tie for second at 4 under, two shots behind Canadian Corey Conners.

Woods opened at 25/1 to start the week according to the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, behind six other players. But he’s now listed as a 4/1 favorite as he looks to win for the first time since 2013.
