Wilson FYbrid RS Fairway Wood Review

Wilson FYbrid RS Fairway Wood – The Wilson FYbrid RS hybrid is ideal for mid to high handicappers who need to get out of trouble a lot. The RS ‘rocker sole’ enables it to be played from a variety of lie angles and the sole is thankfully a little less cambered than the fairway wood.

The face has a reasonable offset and is wide enough to give even the most nervous golfer lots of confidence. The head shape is roundish but with triangular tendencies thanks to the weight being low and back in the sole and we think it just about looks OK.However we did like the white/red UST shaft which is very good quality and ideal for this club.

On the course the Wilson FYbrid RS hybrid is excellent at hitting the ball high and straight, but shaping it low is out. It looks more like a mini-wood than a hybrid iron but feels very good from all types of lie and is excellent from the rough. The sound is not bad for a hybrid and if you are looking for a good value for money hybrid to get the ball up and going forward then this is the one for you.
