Win moves Na to 13th in U.S. Ryder Cup standings

After getting his first win in nearly seven years, Kevin Na has suddenly moved onto the bubble in the U.S. Ryder Cup standings.

Na was 36th on the U.S. points list entering last week, but after winning at The Greenbrier he moved all the way up to 13th, with the top eight after the PGA Championship qualifying automatically. Na, 34, has never represented the U.S. in a Ryder or Presidents Cup.

Na’s jump was the only change among the top 20 last week. Here’s a look at the updated standings:

1. Brooks Koepka

2. Dustin Johnson

3. Patrick Reed

4. Justin Thomas

5. Bubba Watson

6. Jordan Spieth

7. Rickie Fowler

8. Bryson DeChambeau

9. Webb Simpson

10. Phil Mickelson

11. Matt Kuchar

12. Brian Harman

On the European side, Russell Knox entered the discussion following his playoff win at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open. Knox barely missed out on a spot on the 2016 team at Hazeltine, and he is still a couple spots away from qualifying on either the European Points or World Points list.

But after a T-2 finish at the HNA French Open at Ryder Cup host course Le Golf National, Knox has at the very least joined the group who will be vying for one of four captain’s picks from Thomas Bjorn.

Here’s a look at the updated lists, with the top four from each category qualifying automatically:

European Points

1. Tyrrell Hatton

2. Justin Rose

3. Tommy Fleetwood

4. Francesco Molinari

5. Thorbjorn Olesen

6. Russell Knox

World Points List

1. Jon Rahm

2. Alex Noren

3. Rory McIlroy

4. Paul Casey

5. Matthew Fitzpatrick

6. Sergio Garcia

Win moves Na to 13th in U.S. Ryder Cup standings
