Callaway Diablo Octane Black Driver Review – The Callaway Diablo Octane driver is very easy to hit and the dark looks and forged composite imagery on the crown looked very sinister.

The head shape was quite triangular and the closed face and short hosel look will be familiar to regular Callaway players, although others may take time to get used to them.

The alignment dots on the face looked a bit like runway lights but we liked them and at take-off the ball flew on a reasonably high trajectory.

The Callaway Diablo Octane driver felt quite light and the forgiveness was very good with even off centre hits staying on line. One obvious characteristic you will notice on the Diablo Octane is the addition of the increasingly popular black finish on the face and sole.

This finish has been developed specifically for the European market, as the version for the USA has a silver face.

A good choice for mid to high handicappers who don’t mind splashing out.
